Tributes paid to cancer-stricken father who died at his own wedding

Iain Chandler 'was always there for us and we will always love him,' eight-year-old Katelyn told mourners at her father's funeral.

The youngster rounded off her tribute by saying: 'Sleep tight, Dad.'

Mr Chandler, 39, from Lochgelly, was diagnosed with bone cancer in February.

The father of two, who also leaves behind son Scott, three, died before he was able to say 'I do' to his partner of ten years and mother of his children, Kerryanne McMurray.

Mr Chandler's brother Keith added his own tribute.

'Iain was loving father to his two children and a devoted partner to Kerryanne and was fond of all his relatives and friends,' he said.

'He was kind and would do anything for anyone, particularly his mum and dad, whether it was trips to the shops or jobs around the house.'

The Reverend Lis Stenhouse ? who conducted Mr Chandler's wedding in Fife on May 26 ? also took charge of the funeral.
